On the 22nd February 2006 Architects; Architectural Design & Management submitted a planning application to North Shropshire District Council on behalf of the Hotel for a new extension.

The proposed extension to the left of the Hotel's main entrance will house a new larger 40 Cover Restaurant, a Disabled Toilet, Storeroom and Access Lift to the first floor. On the first floor will be three new Bedrooms including a fully accessible room.
